Andrew Garza

Attorney Garza is a Connecticut native who grew up along the shoreline in Groton. He graduated from Fitch Senior High School and went on to study at the University of Connecticut. Leaving the state briefly, he moved to Boston to attend law school.

He graduated in the top 6% of his class from the New England School of Law. He is a three time recipient of the New England Scholar Award, and received awards for the highest grades in Criminal Law, Ethics, Criminal Advocacy, Advanced Criminal Procedure, and Sentencing Law, Policy and Practice. He was an executive editor on the New England Law Review, a member of the National Trial Competition team, and recognized on the Public Service Honor Roll.

Prior to founding his own firm, Attorney Garza worked as a litigation attorney for a Hartford insurance defense firm handling motor vehicle, premises, underinsured and uninsured motorist, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and products liability litigation. Before this, he served as a judicial law clerk to the judges of the Connecticut Superior Court in Hartford and Willimantic, Connecticut. He has also worked for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, as well as for the judges of the Massachusetts Superior Court as an honors judicial intern. Additional experience includes work in the Cybercrimes Division at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, on the New England Innocence Project, for solo practitioners handling family law matters, and in the Connecticut Office of the Public Defender.

Attorney Garza received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in criminal justice from the University of Connecticut. Outside of the office he enjoys camping, carpentry, tennis, softball, snowboarding, and cooking. He lives in Hartford County with his wife.
